Welcome to Issue 9 of the One Mission One Vision Newsletter

As we start this new year, we do so with great confifidence, knowing that whatever, we face in 2021 God is with us.
The words spoken by our Lord Jesus to his disciples, “Lo am with you always, even to the end of age” remains true and relevant for the people of God today. (Matttthew 28:20 NKJV)
Footprints by Mary Stevenson, well illustrates this:
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was traveling along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashes scenes from his life and for each scene he notiticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He notiticed that many times along the path of his life, there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him, and he questioned the Lord about it.
“Lord you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints, I don’t understand why, when I needed you most you would leave me.
The Lord replied, “my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During the times of trial and suffering when you only see one set of footprints. It was then that I carried you”.
As we face this new year, I encourage everyone to let us heed the words of the Psalmist David. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help“.
The Apostle Paul puts it this way:
“We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are
perplexed, but not in despair.
“Persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not
destroyed”. (2 Corinthians 4:9 NKJV)

Happy new year to all our readers.
